From a tiny 11-acre Pomerol gem grown on prized blue clay and red gravel, part of the same Moueix family portfolio as Château Pétrus. A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc from one of Bordeaux's most celebrated vintages. Silky, seamless and richly layered.

Château Hosanna didn't exist until 1998, when Christian Moueix purchased the historic vineyard then known as Château Certan-Giraud and kept its finest parcels.

What remained is a tiny 11-acre gem on prized blue clay and red gravel, tucked between Lafleur, Pétrus, and Vieux Château Certan, with some vines dating back to 1956. It's part of the same Moueix family portfolio that includes Pétrus.

Roughly 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc give it a reputation as the more immediately generous, flamboyant sibling to the more reserved La Fleur-Pétrus.

The 2000 comes from one of Bordeaux's most celebrated Right Bank vintages, and now well over two decades from harvest, it's in it's prime drinking window!

Wine Advocate | 96 Points

"Dense ruby/purple, with a glorious nose of blackberries, cassis, white flowers, licorice, and a hint of sweet oak, this seamless wine is a classic example of purity and symmetry. Combining power with charm and finesse in a deeply textured, rich, elegant, yet authoritatively flavorful style, this is a brilliant effort as well as a compliment to proprietor Christian Moueix."
