Shipping and Storage
Domestic Shipments
We ship nationwide - almost. Due to state restrictions, we’re currently unable to ship directly to AL, AR, KY, MA, MS, PA, RI, TN, or UT.
That said, we’ve been known to get creative. If you're in one of these states, drop us a line. We'll do our best to find a solution that works.
International Shipments
We ship to many international destinations, but some rules and restrictions may apply. All international sales are final—we can’t offer refunds for shipping delays or customs snafus. If your shipping cost isn’t auto-calculated, drop us a line, and we’ll get you a custom quote. Duties, taxes, and tariffs are not included in the quoted shipping rates.
Delivery Timelines
We will personally contact you to confirm your shipment date. We typically fulfill orders within 5 business days, but we’re all about protecting your wine. Orders placed late in the week (Thursday or Friday) may ship the following Monday to avoid unnecessary time in a carrier warehouse. All packages must be accepted and signed by an adult at least 21 years of age.
Shipment Quality Control
Your wine travels in protective styrofoam shippers. For bulk temperature-controlled orders, we use standard layflats. If your wine comes in its original case, we’ll open it to confirm contents, then ship bottles and the case separately. Let us know if you have special preferences for shipping banded cases!
Weather-Related Shipping Concerns
We care about your wine as much as you do. That’s why we recommend shipping during moderate seasons. Hot or cold weather can damage wine quality, so we’re happy to store your order at no extra charge during extreme temperatures. If you choose to ship regardless, please note that we can’t be held responsible for weather-related damage or carrier delays.
Protect Your Bottles: Optional Shipping Insurance
We offer optional shipping protection at checkout -just 1% of your order total - for peace of mind against courier damage or loss. If your package is lost in transit or arrives damaged due to mishandling by the carrier, you're covered. Simple as that.
What’s not covered:
– Heat or cold damage and we’re happy to store your order at no extra charge during extreme temperatures.
– Wine flaws like cork taint.
Without this protection:
Weekend Wine isn’t liable for any damage, loss, theft, or delays once your bottles are with the carrier. UPS and FedEx only cover up to $100 per claim. Have a high-value order? You might also check with your credit card provider as some offer extra protection for purchases in transit. Add the insurance at checkout for extra peace of mind and let us handle the hard part if something goes sideways. Questions? Just reach out—we're here to help!
Shipment Tracking
Once your order ships, monitor your shipment closely. Refused or undeliverable packages will be returned to us at your expense. Any order that is unable to ship, or is seized or destroyed due to violation or potential violation of shipping laws (and/or common carrier policy) is not refundable. All customers are solely responsible for determining the manner in which alcoholic beverages may or may not be lawfully brought into their jurisdiction.
