A Grand Cru in all but name, the 1999 Les Suchots from Arnoux is old-vine Vosne-Romanée at the top of its game! Remarkably fresh and floral, with velvety a richness and finish that won't quit. Over two decades on and still so youthful. Drink now or hold.

Burghound | 94 Points

"Only a hint of bricking and consistent with the appearance there is only a touch of secondary character to the spicy, floral and exceptionally fresh nose. There is first-rate complexity to the velvety, super-rich and highly seductive medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract on the balanced and strikingly long finish. This has just now arrived at its peak but I underscore that it should be capable of holding here for years to come. In a word, terrific."

Domaine Robert Arnoux Les Suchots is always a wine that makes a compelling case for why this vineyard is considered a Grand Cru in all but name and why 1999 remains one of the most beloved vintages in the Côte de Nuits.

Over two decades on, the wine has arrived at its peak but shows no sign of fading: the nose remains remarkably fresh and floral with a spicy complexity that belies its age, while the palate delivers velvety, super-rich flavors with a dry extract and balance that extend into a strikingly long finish.

This is old-vine Vosne-Romanée at its most seductive — a bottle that is ready to drink but still has years ahead for those who can wait a little longer!
