The 1991 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny is one of Burgundy's quiet masterpieces. A wine that has spent three decades being overshadowed by the legendary 1990 vintage, and is only now getting the recognition it deserves.

The best '91s have always had their admirers, and each year the case for them grows stronger.

Where the 1990 is riper and more opulent, the 1991 plays a different game... dried rose, sous-bois, truffle, and mature red cherry giving way to a palate of silky, weightless texture and a mineral precision that feels almost impossibly fresh for a wine of this age.

Some purists prefer it to the 1990. It isn't hard to see why!
