Henri Bonneau’s legendary Réserve des Célestins is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most revered wines, produced in tiny quantities from old vine Grenache on the famed Le Crau plateau. Crafted with traditional methods and built around nearly pure Grenache, the 2012 captures the power, complexity, and haunting elegance that made Bonneau an icon.

Wine Spectator | 97 Points

"This defines old school, with savory detail and notes of roasted chestnut, fresh tobacco leaf, cedar and brick dust leading off, backed by a core of currant, cherry and plum fruit flavors that is lightly dried yet nonetheless fresh and racy in feel. Singed juniper and bay leaf hints score the finish. Likely to hold just like this for some time. Best from 2020 through 2040. 400 cases made."

“Bonneau’s Réserve des Célestins is his greatest wine, and unequivocally the single greatest wine made in Châteauneuf du Pape" - John Gilman

Henri Bonneau is a name that makes wine lovers sit up and pay attention. With his passing in 2016, these bottles represent some of the last creations of his remarkable career. Crafting blends with 90% Grenache - no one could match how he turned this grape into something powerful yet elegant.

His wines, especially the legendary Réserve des Célestins, are unforgettable—bold, complex, and made to age for decades. There’s a unique magic in every bottle that sets them apart.

His vineyards are on the famous rocky plateau of Le Crau, with vines about 30 years old. Bonneau stuck to tradition—he didn’t de-stem grapes, fermented in concrete tanks, and aged his wine in barrels that were at least a decade old. He wouldn’t bottle a wine until it was absolutely perfect.

These loose bottles of 2012 all come from the same original case (one of only 400 produced), ensuring you can buy with confidence, knowing you're getting perfect bottles!

Every step of the journey is managed with one goal in mind: protecting the integrity of each bottle from our cellar to your doorstep.
