Once a hidden gem, Domaine Hubert Lamy is now one of the hottest names in White Burgundy. Founded in the 1970s and led today by Olivier Lamy, the estate crafts precision-driven, mineral-laced Chardonnay that punches well above its weight, often rivaling Grand Cru in structure and finesse.

Lamy’s focus is purity. No new oak, no fining or filtration, and only native yeasts. His wines are aged in older barrels and shaped entirely by the character of the vineyard. These are tense, energetic Chardonnays with incredible clarity and a signature limestone snap.

One standout is the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière Vieilles Vignes, a steep, rocky site producing 50 year old-vine fruit with serious depth and drive. It’s a prime example of Lamy’s talent for turning Saint-Aubin into something extraordinary. A notoriously difficult parcel to harvest due to the precipitous nature of the slopes here, these are supple and forward, but with zingy, fresh acidity to give both balance and longevity.
