Called by John Gilman “the single greatest wine made in Châteauneuf du Pape,” Henri Bonneau’s legendary Réserve des Célestins is one of the Rhône’s most sought-after wines. The opulent 2009 vintage layers exotic dark fruit, licorice, spice, and floral lift into a deeply powerful yet remarkably graceful expression of old-vine Grenache.

Vinous | 96 Points

"Deep ruby. Seductive scents of ripe blackberry and boysenberry, singed plum and star anise, lifted by an intense floral topnote. Sweet, expansive dark fruit flavors show excellent concentration, with suggestions of licorice pastille and orange pith giving the wine an exotic character. Shows outstanding clarity and power on the extremely long finish, which is shaped by smooth, slow-building tannins."

“’Bonneau’s Réserve des Célestins is his greatest wine, and unequivocally the single greatest wine made in Châteauneuf du Pape" - John Gilman

Henri Bonneau is a name that makes wine lovers sit up and pay attention. With his passing in 2016, these bottles represent some of the last creations of his remarkable career.

Crafting blends with 90% Grenache - no one could match how he turned this grape into something powerful yet elegant.

His wines, especially the legendary Réserve des Célestins, are unforgettable—bold, complex, and made to age for decades. There’s a unique magic in every bottle that sets them apart.

His vineyards are on the famous rocky plateau of Le Crau, with vines about 30 years old. Bonneau stuck to tradition—he didn’t de-stem grapes, fermented in concrete tanks, and aged his wine in barrels that were at least a decade old. He wouldn’t bottle a wine until it was absolutely perfect.

Bonneau’s wines aren’t just drinks - they’re profound experiences!
