The Côte de Val Vilaine comes from a single 1.5-hectare vineyard in his home village of Celles-sur-Ource, planted entirely to Pinot Noir and farmed with obsessive precision.

With some of the lowest yields in Champagne and only the first press used, production is just a few hundred cases a year.

The 2022 release shows immediate charm: pear, kirsch, white flowers, wrapped around vivid red fruits of wild strawberry and raspberry with chalk and spice underneath. Pinot Noir depth meets Bouchard’s hallmark finesse - precise bubbles, crisp acidity, and a vinous, almost Burgundian texture.
