The 2013 Colgin Cellars Tychson Hill is a 100-point Napa Cabernet from one of the valley’s most historic and terroir-driven vineyard sites. Grown on rare volcanic soils in the foothills north of St. Helena, the wine combines remarkable finesse and perfume with profound power and intensity. From the legendary 2013 vintage, this is a timeless Napa icon built for decades of evolution.

A singular expression of Napa Cabernet, Tychson Hill is both historic and rare. Named after Josephine Tychson - Napa’s first female vintner - this jewel box vineyard lies in the foothills of the Mayacamas just north of St. Helena. Its volcanic soils are among the rarest in the valley, producing wines that are as much about finesse and perfume as they are about sheer power.

The 2013 vintage was one of Napa’s all-time greats—an almost “made to order” growing season that delivered perfectly ripened fruit of astonishing purity and intensity. Colgin’s winemaking team captured that magic with precision, allowing shorter macerations to preserve balance, elegance, and lift.

Robert Parker awarded it a perfect 100 points, praising its opaque purple color, waves of blueberry and blackberry fruit, incense, subtle toast, and a finish that lasts nearly a full minute.

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard is a rival for the 2012. Opaque purple, with blueberry and blackberry fruit, a hint of incense and subtle toast, the wine has great intensity, incredible richness and, again, a floral blue- and black-fruited nose and flavor profile that is remarkable. The finish goes on for close to a minute. This is slightly more tightly knit than the more ostentatious 2012, but both are wines to taste and drink before you die!"
