The Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 comes from one of Napa Valley’s most iconic vineyard sites, rooted in the rocky, gravelly soils of Calistoga. Refined and mineral-driven, it layers blackberry, wild blueberry, dried flowers, and iron with silky texture, superfine tannins, and remarkable persistence. This is a beautifully age-worthy Napa Cabernet now entering its prime.

James Suckling | 99 Points

"Intensely scented dried flowers on the nose in the rose to lilac spectrum. Raspberry and blackberry undertones. Rose perfumes. It's full-bodied, yet everything's in finesse. Superfine tannins coat your palate and give you incredible length, and it all last for minutes on the palate. Great resonance. Not the power of 2013 but intellect and persistence prevails here. A joy to taste now, but this will improve for decades ahead."

The Wine Independent | 98 Points

"The 2014 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet in color. It is a little closed on the nose to begin, needing some coaxing to bring out evocative scents of dusty soil, iron ore, and mossy tree bark, leading to a core of wild blueberries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus touches of clove oil and lilacs. The full-bodied palate delivers incredible tension with very firm, densely pixilated tannins supporting the tightly wound fruit, finishing long and minerally."

Following the landmark 2013 vintage, the 2014 Eisele builds on that momentum with a wine that marries elegance and intensity. Under the stewardship of François Pinault and Frédéric Engerer, this legendary Calistoga site continues to deliver world-class Cabernet now with the polish of Bordeaux’s elite.

Crafted from biodynamically farmed, gravelly soils at the foot of the Palisades, the 2014 is expressive, mineral-driven, and silky in texture. It received 99 points from James Suckling and is just entering its prime. A must for collectors who appreciate Cabernet with both depth and finesse.
